November has arrived, and Mahesh Babu fans have only one question on their minds: will the Varanasi team finally start talking?
It was in November last year that SS Rajamouli unveiled the film’s title glimpse at a grand event in Hyderabad. A year later, fans are still waiting for the next big piece of content.
The Glimpse That Set the Bar
The Varanasi glimpse did exactly what it was meant to do. It introduced the world of the film, its scale and its theme in a big way, and gave audiences a sense of what Rajamouli is building with Mahesh Babu.
The response was huge. The glimpse is the main reason the film now carries such massive expectations, not just in Telugu but across India and overseas.
Then Came the Silence
After that glimpse, the team went almost completely quiet.
Big occasions came and went without any major content. There was nothing for festivals, and nothing for the cast’s birthdays. Even on Mahesh Babu’s birthday and Rajamouli’s birthday, fans didn’t get a new poster or video, only working stills from the sets.
For a film of this size, the long gap has left fans restless.
The Release Date Question
The silence has also fed the buzz about the release date. Varanasi is officially set to hit theatres worldwide on April 7, 2027. But with no promotions so far, there’s ongoing talk about whether the team can stick to that date.
Rajamouli’s films are known for taking their time, and that history only adds to the doubts.
Why November Matters
The shoot is now said to be nearing its end. With the release around five months away, this is the time when promotions usually start building up for a film this big.
And Varanasi isn’t just any film. With Rajamouli coming off the global success of RRR, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the cast, the film is being positioned as a global project. That kind of film needs promotions on a global scale, and that takes time.
Fans Want a Return Gift
Fans and audiences are now hoping November brings some promotional content, and that the updates keep coming from here without long breaks.
After a year of waiting, the team has a chance to make up for the silence in one go. Whether Rajamouli and team will come up with something big this month, and finally answer the release date doubts, is what everyone is waiting to see.
